“Black Clover” was one of the anime hits of a few years ago, and I think all the hype was picked up by the manga: Sword of the Wizard King”. Indeed, the feature film that put Asta and company back on the move is one that I personally enjoyed immensely, and has been a huge success thanks to Netflix distribution. So, what’s next for the franchise? Well, live-action, even if it won’t have anything to do with “One Piece”, “Cowboy Bebop” and so on.
Black Clover to go live-action in a few months
Here are all the details confirmed by @WSJ_manga about the live-action announcement:
- Basically, what has been announced is that it will be possible to watch Black Clover in Japan in the form of a play, which will be officially named -The Stage-“.
- They’ve also confirmed that the theatrical run of Black Clover will begin in September 2023. No, for the moment there’s no date, nor any information on how long the play will run, although in these cases it’s usually not as long as a movie preview.
- What they have confirmed is that the cities of Tokyo and Kanagawa will host the live-action performances of Black Clover. However, they have not yet specified which theaters will host this work.
- Although they’ve confirmed that they’ll be giving more details about the live-action Black Clover in the future, it’s best to forget about the possibility of international premieres. After all, it’s at best something that happens with films proper, and I can’t yet recall a live-action as such crossing the border.
